Abstract

In a monographic study, the author analyzes the penitentiary and post-penitentiary adaptation and resocialization of juvenile convicts in the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. Today, in order to achieve the set goals and objectives, the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 23, 2016 No. 2808-r On Approval of the Concept of the Federal Target Program Development of the Penitentiary System (2017-2025) and the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of April 29, 2021 No. 1138-r On the approval of the Concept for the development of the penitentiary system of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, all optimal conditions are created for penitentiary adaptation and subsequent resocialization of juvenile convicts who are in the Federal state institutions Educational colonies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, for their comprehensive harmonious development, including intellectual, physical, spiritual, moral, socio-psychological components and rehabilitation based on a humanistic approach, which in turn will ensure effective social adaptation of the convict in the post-penitentiary period.     For the first time, the concept of the draft federal law On the Federal Probation Service in the Russian Federation is proposed - (Author's edition).     The validity and reliability of the results of the monographic research is provided by the archival, scientific-theoretical, methodological, international and national regulatory framework, as well as the author's sociological research carried out by survey methods (questionnaires and interviews) of respondents in the periods: 2014–2018 and 2019–2020.     The materials of the monographic research do not contain information related to the state secret of the Russian Federation.     The monograph is of interest both for a wide range of readers and for specialists in the field of juvenile, penal law, sociology of law and crime, law enforcement, social stratification of modern Russian society, cadets, listeners, masters, graduate students (adjuncts), doctoral students, teachers of special universities and employees of research organizations of the system of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Research Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
